Looking at Andy Looking: The Intimate Early Film Work of Andy Warhol

Museum of Sex, New York, September 2024

My first glimpse of Pittsburgh was when we were driving cross-country, from Santa Fe to New York. We only had one night, but made it a point to visit The Andy Warhol Museum. We’d talked so much about the Warhol – another major single-artist museum – when I was at the O’Keeffe, and it was a thrill to finally visit. We were back in Pittsburgh, a few months later, to pitch a partnership with the Museum of Sex in New York. Luckily for us, the Warhol’s then-Director of Film and Video, Greg Pierce, was keen to collaborate, and Looking at Andy Looking (Greg’s last project for the Warhol) was the result.
